HALABJA GENOCIDE

Chemical Weapons Attack

16.03.1988

Chemical Weapons Attack by Saddam Hussain and his Iraqi state where more than 8.000 Kurdish civilians killed, 16 03.1988 in the Kurdish town Halabja

I atacken gasades ihjäl uppemot 8 000 kurder.

NEVER FORGET HALEÇE/ HALABJA 16 March 1988

An early morning people woke up with an apple perfume (smoke) in the air but non of them was aware of what a disaster could that smell bring if they keep breathing. The Halabja chemical attack also known as the Halabja Massacre or Bloody Friday, was a Genocide against the Kurdish people that took place on March 16, 1988, during the closing days of the Iran–Iraq War in the Kurdish city of Halabja in Southern Kurdistan. The attack killed more than 8,000 people and injured 7,000 to 10,000 more, most of them civilians.Thousands more died of complications, diseases, and birth defects in the years after the attack. The incident, which has been officially defined by Supreme Criminal Tribunal as a genocidal massacre against the Kurdish people in Iraq, was and still remains the largest chemical weapons attack directed against a civilian-populated area in history.

The Halabja attack has been recognized as a distinct event of the Anfal Genocide conducted against the Kurdish people by the Iraqi regime under Saddam Hussein. A High Criminal Court established by allied forces recognized the Halabja massacre as an act of genocide on March 1, 2010, a decision welcomed by the Kurdistan Regional Government. The attack was also condemned as a crime against humanity by the Parliament of Canada.

Halabçe [halabja] means lıttle Aleppo.

The most tragic smile!

This line is neither entering into the school nor waiting to play line. The child’s smile captured by the camera is one of the most tragic smile history can behold. These are the children waiting to be buried alive; there are 182 000 of them. It has been twenty five years since this picture; the ANFAL of April 14th 1984. On this day Saddam Hussein ordered the mess killing and genocide of Kurds in Southern Kurdistan. Many of these children are still beneath the mourning soil of Kurdistan and waiting to be found, but most fear looking for them, the pain might be unbearable.

Actually NOT USA, But Germany who gave the chemıcal bombs to Iraq. USA has allways been a frıend of Kurdısh people despite sometimes
helping Turkey and Iraq against the Kurds, such as most recently during the Donald Trump administration in 2018
